Resnova is proud to present the new gel documentation systems designed and developed in Germany by Nippon Genetics: FAS-Digi PROTM, a further development of the FAS-Digi (NGE-GP-05LED).
- Using a EOS 200D (24 MPixel), with a PS-C CMOS-sensor (diameter 22.3 x 14.9) the detection of lowest light signals in agarose gels becomes easy. The exposure time of the sensor can be set from 1/4000 sec up to 30 sec. A very short exposure guarantees that even the brightest DNA band will be visible within the dynamic range.;
- The FastGene® FAS-Digi PRO comes with the intuitive NIPPON Genetics Camera Studio software. With this software you can control all necessary parameters of the camera to analyse and optimize all your images: Just adjust the aperture, exposing time, sensitivity and focus and make images of the highest quality. A very nice feature is to control the focus by using a mouse wheel. Furthermore, you can select and enlarged the area of interest by using the mouse. Images can be recorded in the common TIFF and JPEG format. For prints just use a printer connected to your PC;
- The imaging area of the transilluminator has a size of 26 x 21 cm, which allows the imaging of multiple agarose gels of various size. Because of the large illumination area and the possibility to remove the hood of the Fas-Digi PRO, it is very easy to excise DNA bands;
The transilluminator is equipped with the Blue/Green LED technology which emits light at a wavelength of 470 nm – 520 nm without damaging nucleic acids and endangering the users cause of UV exposure. The Blue/Green LED light enables the detection of all common dyes, such as yellow and red dyes, ethidium bromide and also of Midori Green produced by Nippon Genetics Europe.
